The World Cup kicked off today, with Brazil defeating Croatia 3-1. To all the Brazilian High 5-ers out there, congrats! To all the Croatian High 5-ers, better luck next time! We’re very excited for the upcoming month of international competition, so we got to thinking about which characters from High 5 Casino games would make good soccer players, and here’s what we came up with:

She’s used to watching over battlefields, so the Valkyrie Queen would have no issue watching defenses and waiting for her chance to score as a striker. She’s fast and strong, and used to fighting, so she wouldn’t mess around with all of that annoying flopping stuff. Instead, she’d bide her time, and when the moment was right she’d attack and attack until the ball was in the net.

A big part of being a good soccer player is endurance; you’re never going to succeed on the pitch if you’re winded after just a few minutes. And who’s got more endurance than Atlas, the Titan who holds up the heavens? Even if Atlas has no skills on the ball, he’s in such good shape that he’s sure to be an asset as a midfielder.

The Jaguar Princess would make a great defender. If she can stand guard over an entire jungle, she definitely can cover a few yards in front of the goal. She’s very feisty, though, so she’d have to keep her wild side in check so as to avoid a red card.

Who could possibly perform better in front of the net than the Rocket Man? His jet pack would allow him to stay in front of any shot, even if he was out of position. Plus, he’s a super hero, so he’s used to being in the limelight. There’s no way the Rocket Man is going to get flustered in a big game when he’s had to defeat villains and save cities before.
