Drumroll please!

The winners’ list for H5C’s Vacation Time Contest is here! On August 8th, we invited our High 5 Casino players to submit a contest entry telling us about a place they would like to go on vacation and we’ve received thousands of great vacation plans. While we can’t share them all with you here, enjoy a few great ones below:

Jo M. – LaPine, OR
Destination: Belize. I would love to go back to the island to help them rebuild after the 2 disasters they have had this year. They survived a fire that destroyed a portion of downtown San Pedro, they are just recovering from Hurricane Earl. They are very compassionate & resilient, they jump in and help each other with out hesitating. I would Love to go be a part of their community in rebuilding and getting them back up on their feet and enjoying their local cuisine & hanging out with the locals 🙂 .

Destination: Prince Edward Island. In my younger adult years I got the opportunity to read the Anne of Green Gables series. Her way of speaking about this Island made it seem like the most beautiful place in the world. It seemed as though you could step into another world and be at peace. Sometimes, that is just what the doctor ordered in this crazy time in history.

Edith S. – Puyallup, WA
Destination: The Caribbean. I would love to meet my sister in law in Nixa, Missouri and hop on a plane and go to Tampa, Florida. From there get on a luxury cruise line like Carnival and kick back for a week. Go to Cozumel and the Cayman Islands. No worry about what is for dinner, house cleaning or laundry. I am 74 and she is 72 and seems that keeping house and raising family is all we have ever done. I want time for myself to explore what is out there. No husband just my sister in law and fun doing what we want and relaxing.

Destination: Yellowstone National Park. There are so many natural wonders in this country that we live in. I have been to a million theme parks. I served in the military and my one dream is to see Yellowstone National Park and I would like to see it on horseback and just go for days and days and days with no cell phones, no internet and just enjoy what was put on this Earth for us.

Destination: Napoleon, Ohio. I would go spend time with my 87 year old father, who has not been in good health for a few months. I would also spend time with my son who attends Ohio State University in Columbus. Since I retired to Florida 5 years ago, I didn’t realize how much I would miss my daddy and my son….Life is short….time flies by and I would love to be with them again for a little while.
