The question is would you rather meet the love of your life on a dating game show like the fun eccentric character from Tall, Rich and Handsome or through a series of blind dates like the sophisticated woman in Perfect Gentlemen?

Remember those days (or they may still be here) of wondering when Mr./Mrs. Right would arrive in your life? You saw and heard all about the fairytales in the movies, from friends and family. You couldn’t help but think about when and how the one would make their way to your life.

You may have tried the dating scene but didn’t have much luck. So one day, you’re listening to the radio and you hear about a dating game show looking for people to participate. At first, this may seem a bit out of this world but then you think to yourself… WHY NOT?! You go for it and you’re chosen. Next thing you know, you’re on your way to possibly meeting the one. On the set of the dating game show, producers tell you that today you’ll be choosing between a pilot, a doctor, an architect, and a rock star! Now you have four handsome men or beautiful women dying for your attention!

Now let’s look at the other end of the argument. Some find blind dates to be intimidating and even scary, others find them exciting and romantic. One thing is certain, you never know who you’ll meet when a friend sets you up. We see this in Perfect Gentlemen. We don’t know the stats but we tend to hear more about blind dates gone bad than good. So you go on several bad dates and at some point, you may lose hope. Your loved ones keep telling you, “Hold on! You’ll find the one!” While in your mind, you’re thinking… yeah right! Either way, you’re on your way to possibly meeting the one.

The dating scene has drastically changed over time. With today’s technology, there are many different ways of meeting your match. Whether you decide to venture into a dating game show or in today’s world, that’d be venturing into a night of speed dating or you decide to go on that blind date your friend’s been trying to set up forever… you’re putting yourself out there and that’s what counts!

  34. The old fashion way. At least I know what I want when I see the person. Blind dates are often eerie.

  46. I met the love of my life the old fashioned way. We met, flirted, dated, married, very happily ever after. All the new and old can and sometimes does work out. It really is personal preference. What works for one person may not work for another. Everyone has a true love out there somewhere. Finding them is the rub.
