H5C’s Vault of Fire Contest: Congratulations Winners!

On December 3rd High 5 Casino released our 400th Game Vault of Fire. To kick off this milestone, on Monday, November 30th we invited you to share with us what you found inside the Vault of Fire and why for a chance to win 200K High 5 Casino coins!

Upon entering the Vault of fire, I found 5 precious stones. A brilliant red ruby for courage, a deep blue sapphire for knowledge, an emerald for honesty, an aquamarine for compassion and a diamond for faith. These were all of the things I valued most so I had at last found my treasure.

On entering the Vault of Fire, I find a sealed, wooden box. When I open the box there is a metal box and a key. I unlock the metal box with the key and find magic wand with instructions on how to create good deeds using the magic wand.

H5C’s Look Back at 2018 Contest Winners!

As we started to get ready for the brand new year, High 5 Casino began to reminisce 2018 by inviting players to enter H5C’s Look Back at 2018 Contest!

Starting on December 23rd, High 5-ers shared what their favorite H5C moment was in 2018 and why!

From The Legacy of Cleopatra’s Place to Winter Riches, the Back of the Net Tournament to Take A Bite Out of Hunger Food Drive; thousands of High 5-ers from around the world shared their favorite H5C moment. H5C’s Halloween BOOtique Contest Winners

As we entered the spooky season, High 5 Casino open the doors of its Halloween BOOtique! We invited High 5-ers near and far to visit and enter H5C’s Halloween BOOtique Contest!

Starting on October 16th, High 5-ers browsed the variety of choices and help them decide which H5C character they wanted to be for Halloween and why!

From witches to fairies, to knights and headless horsemen, thousands of High 5-ers from around the world shared who they would dress up as for Halloween. Reading through these was a TREAT and it is no trick as we announce and reward the 125 winners!

H5C’s Spring is in the Air Contest: Congratulations Winners!

This year, to say goodbye to the cold winter and hello to beautiful spring weather, we invited High-5ers’ around the world to enter H5C’s Spring is in the Air Contest!

Starting on May 14th, we invited players to share with us their favorite outdoor activity for springtime. Whether it was taking walks in the park or heading down to the beach, we wanted to hear about it!

We enjoyed sorting through the thousands of entries and reading all about your favorite outdoor activity! Although we cannot share each entry, we wanted to share some with you from your fellow High 5-ers:

I live close by a large desert area in Arizona. I love getting up just before sunrise, to be in the desert at daybreak. The quiet, and serenity is beautiful, and we have some of the most beautiful sunrises you could ever imagine, rising over the Superstition Mountains. The wildlife is very active before the heat of the day sets in, and I have been able to capture on camera, some of nature’s incredible beauty, including a herd of wild horses. The desert wildflowers are also all in bloom.

This year is the year for me to attempt ‘close proximity wingsuit flying’
Done the skydiving, base jumping, canopy stacking and general free flying thing, now it is time to get up close and personal with the ground and by ground I mean free-flying, (with the aid of a wingsuit) close to the mountains of France, Switzerland and anywhere else that allows wingsuit flying!

Walling through the gardens and paths in the ancient city of Cuma, an old Greek colony which has lasted for hundreds of years. Several ancient buildings still stand, even to this day. In particular, the Grotto of Cybil and the temples located throughout Cuma. The original walkway is still visible, which are carved of old cobblestones which have survived all these years.

I love bike riding with my children. Sometimes we hit the trails all four of us. My favorite bike rides with them though are the one on one bike rides. Just me and one child. I pick a destination, first the ice cream parlor, Subway for lunch, or sometimes just a simple loop trail. I slow down to their speed and we chat along the way

The holidays are officially upon us, High 5-ers! As the week will soon be coming to a close and you are all looking forward to celebrating and spreading the holiday cheer, there is still that one thing you know will make your holiday complete!

On December 11th, we invited players to tell us what is on their holiday wish list. Anything from material items, to just a personal wish you dreamt to come true for this holiday season, we wanted to hear the details about what is on your wish list.

Peace and to end poverty is on my holiday wish list. We are all the same. Love is unconditional. So what a person looks like is totally irrelevant. To be truthful, hardworking and a strong sense of value. To end poverty…. I volunteer with the Breakfast Club twice a week and it so sad to see school aged kids go hungry. Having a full belly is necessary for learning.

My dear mother and brother haven’t been back to California to visit us (all of our relatives lived here) in such a long time, so if there is a miracle where my mother and my brother were able to be here on X-mas (even for just 1-2 days), it will be the best X-mas present ever. The holidays are coming! Are you feeling festive yet? Take a minute before it all begins, let’s take a moment to remember what it is you are most thankful for this year!

Before the holiday shopping craze arrives and baking takes over your kitchen, on November 14th, we invited players to tell us what they are most thankful for this year. Are you thankful for spending time with your family and friends? For landing your dream job or getting that promotion? Maybe you met the girl or guy of your dreams and are excited for your future together? We wanted to hear all about it and why this special moment is what you are thankful for.

This year I am thankful for Life.- A year ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I did not think I would still be on the earth at this time. So what I am thankful for is the advances in cancer treatments that is keeping alive. LOVE THE TIME YOU ARE GIVEN.

H5C Back to School Contest: Congratulations Winners!

It is back-to-school time! As the kids are getting comfortable in their new grade, making new friends, and meeting their new teachers, we reminisced about all the great teachers we had growing up!

The best teachers can leave their mark on you long after you have been out of their classroom! On Wednesday, September 20th, we invited players to tell us about their favorite teachers and how they impacted their lives. Did they encourage you to chase after your dreams? Were they that one person you could go to for advice? Did they teach your favorite subject or push you to be the best you could? We wanted to hear about it and you did not disappoint!

We enjoyed sorting through the thousands of entries and reading all about how teachers impacted your lives long after your days of grade school and college! Although we cannot share everyone’s favorite teacher, you can see what some of your fellow High 5-ers had to say below:

Harley F. – Austin, TX
Mr. Brenholtz – Mr. B was my fifth-grade teacher out in West Texas. He was pretty young and very concerned for his students. Mr. B got us to buddy with the 1st graders and provide them with mentorship and little programs we designed ourselves. He had a great sense of humor and taught us to speak in public without fear. We learned all the usual classwork but more importantly, we learned to interact with each other and the community. A really great gentleman, Mr. B. later became the Superintendent.

Lois T. – Owego, NY
Miss Pratt – Miss Pratt was my 6th-grade teacher in the 1960s when young girls were expected to be nurses, teachers or secretaries. Yes, she was a teacher but she empowered the girls in her class to excel and become interested in math and science before STEM was even an acronym. To be honest, I did not really work in a profession that requires strong math and science skills. I took business classes and eventually became an editor. Nevertheless, I have always remembered Miss Pratt and her ability to encourage students.

Ms. Terry- n 1966 I was in the third grade & MS Terry was my amazing teacher. She wore colorful clothes, a bandanna tied around her long brown hair. She was very young, about 23, but to me, she was a beautiful woman. She had us do mock elections to show us how important our vote was and would always be. I have always voted since I was 18 & will continue. She taught us not to litter because someday our earth would become polluted with it. Therefore, she taught us to respect our earth. To this day, I do not litter.

Mrs. Gaylord- MS Gaylord was my 8th-grade homeroom teacher and my English teacher. She was the kindest, sweetest teacher. She always understood exactly what we were having trouble with and would give us the extra help without worrying about what the clock said. I will never forget her because she left a lasting imprint on my soul. May you rest in peace, Mrs. Gaylord.

Mrs. Herman- My mother was never any of my personal teachers in school but she taught me a lot at home about respect, and love and to this day she will remain my favorite teacher and she was a schoolteacher she taught 2nd and 3rd grade for many years.

Mr. Budek- Science was really not my most favorite subject in the world but Mr. Budek made it fun to learn. Was always there for his students inside and outside the classroom. Can remember a time when my parents went to parent-teacher conferences and went up to meet him and he said to them “why you are here your kids are the best and always ready to learn”. Had some issues with other kids and he had seen this go on. He asked my sister who they were and everything stopped. Always admired him for that.

My favorite holiday tradition is baking Italian Cookies with my maternal grandmother. My grandma’s parents were immigrants from Italy. When my great grandma passed, she left a cookbook filled with cookie recipes she would make growing up in the small town of Bologna. While we make many different types of Italian Christmas Cookies, my two favorites are: Pizzelle Cookies and Italian Anisette Cookies which both put me in the holiday spirit!

My favorite holiday tradition during the holidays is to gather around my aunt’s house with all my cousins. I come from a large closeknit family. The atmosphere is very loving whilst cracking jokes, playing various games, and just being around the ones who cherish you the most. Plus, the gifts we get each other are usually hilarious!
