The Big Game at High 5 Casino

Who’s excited for the big game between New England and Seattle this Sunday? I know I can’t wait to see 11 minutes of bone-crunching hits and perfect spirals spread out over 12 hours of TV coverage. I love football, but there’s way too much downtime during the game; occasionally I’ll doze off on second down and wake up before the teams are even lined up for third down. Even if you don’t appreciate football, you can still enjoy yourself by self-medicating with nachos and beer while watching commercials that cost approximately 66 billion dollars per second. Just don’t forget that Super Bowl Monday isn’t a national holiday – YET – so you still have to drag yourself into the office the next day. In the spirit of the upcoming showdown, we got to thinking which High 5 Casino characters would make the best football players:

Thundering Buffalo

I don’t care how good your team’s offensive line is, if they’re matched up against three or four of these bad boys on the defensive line your quarterback is getting sacked all day.

The Mighty Atlas

TMA would just wreck defenders as a running back. If he got a head of steam going the results would look something like this.

These lady monsters travel in packs, so they’d make a great group of gang-tackling linebackers. Plus, they’re undead so even if they lose a limb or something they won’t miss a play.

Rocket Man

Your team would never lose a game if the Rocket Man was under center as quarterback. He’d take the snap, toss a deep ball, then glide down the field and catch it himself!

The Sultan might rule Mars, but we’re on EARTH talking about EARTH-SPORTS. If he deigned to come here, he’d probably be unable to do anything but be a lame field goal kicker.

As you can see, Halloween is kind of a big deal here. Last year, H5G held a costume contest, and this year the company went even further when it scheduled a shoot for an upcoming zombie game on Halloween and let its employees in on the fun. Unsurprisingly, a sizable number of High 5-ers decided that transforming into terrifying, bloodthirsty monsters was a better way to spend their afternoon than working. A week later, some of them still haven’t taken off their makeup, and instead have committed themselves to bringing about the zombie apocalypse.

Ravishing Beauties vs. Daughters of the Regiment

Who would win in a fight between the Ravishing Beauties and the Daughters of the Regiment?

The Daughters of the Regiment may not look intimidating, but their beauty masks some serious fighting skills. They were willing to risk life and limb to fight in America’s Revolutionary War, so they would probably be down to battle the Ravishing Beauties, an all-star team of monsters that includes a vampiress, a mummy, a werewolf, and a frankenwoman. I think the Daughters of the Regiment would put up a good fight, but ultimately the Ravishing Beauties would take them down. A musket with a bayonet attached just isn’t enough firepower to defeat supernatural evil. The Daughters’ guns would probably malfunction at the wrong time, and even if they did manage to get a few shots off the 17 minutes it would take to reload would be ample time for the Ravishing Beauties to attack.

Figaro vs. Pasión y Fuego

Would you rather star in a theater production of Figaro or in a telenovela like Pasión y Fuego?

As someone who is physically incapable of keeping a straight face or memorizing more than 12 words at a time, I’m really not cut out for the stage or the small screen. However, if I had to pick I would definitely rather star in a telenovela like Pasión y Fuego. It would be really, really hard to be in a theater production; think about performing the same role six or seven times a week in public for months or even years. Television, on the other hand, has a less demanding production schedule. Plus, it would be far less embarrassing to be a terrible actor on TV than it would to be a terrible actor in front of a live audience night after night.

When a woman is angry, you can typically see it in her eyes. An insensitive comment, a forgotten anniversary, or a tardy arrival can transform a docile expression into a wrathful one. Many women are good at masking the rest of their face, but few can stop from expressing their true feelings through their eyes. As someone who has been on the receiving end of these glares many times, I can tell you it’s absolutely terrifying. That feeling is taken to a whole new level in Ravishing Beauties, the newest game at High 5 Casino.

Join a fearless monster hunter as he attempts to make the world a safer place by ridding it of the Ravishing Beauties. A vampire, a mummy, a werewolf, and a frankenwoman are on the loose, and must be stopped. These monsters are as dangerous and depraved as they come – don’t let their looks fool you, or it could cost you your life! John, an H5G illustrator who worked on Ravishing Beauties, was kind enough to provide a little background on the new game:

“The inspiration for Ravishing Beauties came from a desire to pay homage to classic monster movies and monster hunters, and an understanding that supernatural subjects are very popular in our culture now. Instead of using the same old male monsters, we decided to portray their sexier female counterparts. There’s a vampire countess, a green-skinned patchwork frankenwoman, a shape-shifting female werewolf, and a partially unwrapped lady mummy. Our game is less about horror, and more about the seductive nature of monsters. Bruce [animator], Francis [production artist], Veronica [production artist], and I all came together to make a really cool game.”
